Yesterday I was in New Orleans for the International Underwater Convention. There was some neat presentations and displays but the highlight was a panel discussion about the UNESCO treaty with Greg Stemm from Odyssey among the panelist. A lot of people were there in the audience including Jim Sinclair, James Delgado, Kim Fisher, Peter Knollenberg and a bunch of others. It's good to see both side willing to sit down for a professional discussion regarding differences of opinion.

I was at the convention as well on Wednesday. A good friend of mine is a director for the M.A.T.E organization and invited me to the show. I saw Greg milling around the ROV vendors while I was there. I suppose he has a bit of capital to work with now.

Hmmm..Greg is a good guy and a spectacular salvor...and a friend of mine forever. But, if he was shopping for Mags he was probably (in my opinion) doing the "MEL shoppin" hahah...."I'll give you blank percent of what I find in 2010 for this"
Hell, it worked out well for Mel for 20 years.......Greg learned from the BEST
I would not be surprised if I heard he found 200 Escudos this summer!
