That's a blatant untruthful "suggestion" - the mouth of the river Tagus, the gulf of Cadiz, San Lucar de Barrameda and, on top of all, the Azores are the places in the world, to name just a few, where most colonial-era ships have sunk.

Florida will rank in the 15 or 17th position....

I am more interested in what it is trying to say. The UN wants in on the Treasure. Either that or the "states" want to use the UN as their strongarm to restrict anyone but government from accessing treasure sites.
But since the one world gov't is trying to tie up any loose "freedoms" out here, we can pretty well assume the new one world gov't wants to make sure no one has any unaccounted for funds out here.

There is no question whatsoever that government wants to tap into the unfound wealth beneath the waters. They will use public interest and historical preservation as their "marching anthem." There is, in my mind, only one way to combat this and that is to remember the particulars of Mel Fisher's case and the Federal Mandate handed down in the decision of 1982 by the Supreme Court Justices. We must hold our State government (Florida) to the standards that were very simply laid out.

If you do not pool resources, file injunctive actions through the judiciary and come to a concensus as the predominance of the private industry in this State, Florida WILL, without question, do (2) things;

1) Interpret loosely written law (Florida Statutes and Administrative Codes) and adopt policies contrary to the stated objectives of the private industry now producing a way of life for many.

2) Through the aforementioned, the State, acting in cooperation with well financed corporations (private) and educational institutions, will make sure that no one without a multimillion dollar budget will ever again be able to endeavor into these ventures.

The Metal Detector? I'm just checking the fishies for mercury or other heavy metals they may have ingested. You can't be to careful nowdays.

I wasn't there, and if you can prove I was -- if I was there at all, its because I was lost and I went to sleep to clear my head while I was there -- so I saw nothing at all, if you can prove I was there and awake , my eyesight and hearing is not so good anymore and I my mind is shot as well because I can't remember what I did not clearly hear or see.- ,because I get confused often.

Yeah Mon, I believe in fillet and release. I caught those many years ago when sailing across the Atlantic or the East Coast or wherever it was legal at the time of day in the year of the Dog, Chicken or Dragon if I remember correctly or if I don't. I think it was a case of finders keepers, or, if you haven't found it after it laid on the bottom in plain sight for hundreds of years, you don't have any rights to it, you don't deserve it and it's mine. Now, I know I left that nasty old gold stuff around here someplace. I'll have to see if I remember where I put the report. Maybe I already reported it and they lost it. THAT'S IT! They lost it! I think I remember them losing it so I have to go see if I can figure out where I found it. Gotta go, I have to see if I can find where I think I was when I wasn't there before. Do I have a metal detector? I'm sure it's around here someplace. I gotta check the fishes for heavy metals.
Who would make sustenance fishing against the law? How can someone say that fishing to feed your family is against the law? I thought that if you had no money to buy food that you could live off the bounty of this great nation. Sport fishing and commercial fishing are catching fish for profit or as a sport. Sustenance fishing should be legal because you have the right to feed your family. How can anyone pass a law that could cause a man to become a criminal to feed his kids and wife? There's something wrong with that.

We must find gold and silver, artifacts, and any treasure we can in order to have the money to buy fish to feed our families. Hummmmmm! Where's my MD?

I was witness to the legislative fallout as I lived by Port Salerno and Rio, Florida. Thousands lost their jobs (livelihoods) and the co called "retraining programs sponsored by Big Brother (government agencies) were a joke.

These families led simple, dedicated and hard working lives, but in an instant, everything they had known to exist disappeared and they found themselves destitute and forced to seek welfare to survive.

You think that any University, College or "do good" organization did anything to lift a finger to help those families? Not hardly. And it's kind of ironic, but the same organizations that were behind the net ban are now both directly and indirectly involved with trying to shut the door on private historic shipwreck salvage operations.

Designed, just to give professors a cushy job and salary, while students rack up debt for "unknowledge" they will never use.

Wait, don't soot all of 'em yet! I am a tenured full time faculty at the University of Cincinnati, and many of these egg heads are socialists and evolutionists, ect. But NOT me. If you shut them down you are doing the same thing as the Middle Ages, and let’s not forget the "killing fields" in Southeast Asia! We need more people from industry and legitimate causes to face these weirdo’s...they usually fold right up when challenged...when I did my masters I had to challenge almost everyone of them on evolution...and their liberal socialistic preaching.. but challenge them I did in front of the whole class …… they fold right up and say I wasn't aware of the young earth theories, or when asked why don't you move to a socialist country instead of trying to ruin this one...they had no answers...but the kids need to hear someone challenging them...here is the best thing you can do...enroll in a class and have your facts straight and challenge them...right in front of the kids! They will start shutting up...especially the archeologist if you ask them how much of this stuff is in their private collection at home! or sitting on university shelves where no one can ever see it come on its America we can challenge them and shut em up! Do something! There are too few of us on the inside!
