Thanks, I did not think this "Bob Bouchlas" guy was for real listening to the interveiw.

He's a name I had not come across before.

The mystery person(s) who got there and did a pre-salvage before anyone else and got to the "Golden Madonna". An empty lead container which may have held the Golden Madonna was found, but who got the prized treasure is anyone's guess. The mystery salvager is the person who first found the Maravilla.
Everyone else was just getting the leftovers.

There is no golden madonna on the Maravilla. It is a myth. A private joke made up between rival treasure hunters. At least that is what I was told.

I think Capt. Dom has a "golden madonna" story as well.
