If Portugal and Spain would let Odyssey salvage the treasure wrecks off their coast they would have plenty of extra cash.

Salvor,
in the last part of my article The other Bank of Spain we know the quantities of gold and silver lost in territorial waters of this country. It is impossible that these have gone unnoticed.

Why doesnt Spain and Portugal form a treasure Navy? Maybe they could start in the Puerto Rican Trench. They could sail the oceans of the world and claim everything.

Doesn't these lower credit ratings jack up the value of silver and gold?

Yes consider all of the people who are selling their gold at the mall for $100.00 an ounce when it is worth over $1,000.00 an ounce. They fall into the old gold broken jewelry sales pitch.

Only Greece has had its rating dropped to BBB/Baa which is know as Junk bond Ratings!
Spain rating have gone from AA+ to AA and Portugal to AA-
And the Euro dollar is still stronger that the US dollar, But I missed the point How does this affect the treasure
hunter?
Are you worried that Spain will start to recover it's lost Galleons and flood the market with goodies?

The great hedge against inflation is gold.
I posted this news from listening to FOX talk about Spain, Portugal and Greece. Sorry I assumed that all of them were low rated for bonds now. Thanks for clearing that up.
I assume that with their current financial status they will really chase down gold worldwide now.
The issue of debt with China is very interesting in that they hold most of our debt....but we are their largest customer. I dont think they will call the loans in anytime soon.

Financial markets are down intentionally. It will play into the bigger picture of US and Europe integrating their economies. The "other bank" of Spain or of any other may come under "other" control at some point. Salvage quickly my dear friends.
Buy your land and set it up for self sufficiency.

Also, buy a shotgun. Lessons learned from the fall of Rome.
