What's the going rate on salvaged iron cannon?
Nothing special or noteworthy.
Just something adequate for garden decor

I guess everyone here wants a old cannon to put in their front yard for home protection for the up coming revolution.

There was a specific reason I asked here.
I don't pay 'boutique retail' for anything. I leave that to the suckers.

Only suckers and armchair treasure hunters buy cannons in the 1st place LS Morgan. Real salvors find them and recover them.

Re: What's the going rate on salvaged iron cannon?
iron cannons are the "white elephants" of treasure salvaging --since they cost more to properly perserve long term than their worth really. -- most treasure hunters leave iron cannons sit "in place"--bronze cannon are a whole differant matter of course

Cost to fund an expedition to find and recover a cannon: (X)
Cost to buy a cannon: (Y)
Who's the sucker?
Or, to put it another way:
John wants an Atocha coin. The most cost effective way for John to obtain an Atocha coin is:
a. Acquire a treasure lease, purchase boat, diving equipment, salvage gear and go find one himself
b. eBay

I'm not advocating against treasure hunting.
I'm simply pointing out that SaltyDog1773's logic is flawed, or at least inapplicable to my question.
It would be like saying "HAHAHA YOU WENT TO THE GAS STATION TO FILL UP YOUR TANK! REAL DRIVERS PROSPECT AND DRILL THEIR OWN OIL FIELD, THEN BUILD THEIR OWN REFINERY AND MAKE THEIR OWN GAS!!!"
