Duck and Corolla are really built up with beach houses, and I am not sure if MDing is allowed. Most gift shops in the banks sell "GHOST FLEET OF THE OUTER BANKS" map that was published in a 1970 NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICS,and was complied by Outer Banks historian,David Stick of Kitty Hawk.It shows the basic location of a least 200 wrecks, and would be a good start for your location.HH

Years ago, Dave Horner told me his boat mechanic found gold coins near the dunes at Old Currituck Inlet. It's pretty much the VA/NC state line. You're not too far from there if you're in Corolla. Hope you do well!
