Sluicing, how do you feed your sluice?

I use a 42" x 7" home built drop riffle without a flare. I classify to 1/2". Not classifying for a riffle sluice is underrated in my opinon. It's not that the riffle sluice won't clear bigger mesh stones, it is that these larger stones might knock small gold out of my sluice and all we got 'round here is small gold. But that's just my opinion.

Fisher Gold Bug II, 4 Kidde brand smoke detectors, and 1 carbon monoxide detector I bought from Home Depot (can't remember the brand).

I feed mine either by bucket or my homemade scoop shovel that I made from a post hole shovel. Works great, especially for getting creek material from under them big boulders without losing any of the material.
