Must be a bunch of new Teknetics coming on the market.
The gamma 6000 is my all-time favorite machine.

Sounds like a sweet deal. The Delta lists for 279.00 pretty much everywhere. That's a nice upgrade for less than 20 bucks more. At these prices I may have to start expanding my collection.

None of the Walmart stores in my area carry any metal detectors whatsoever. Come to think of it, the only place I've seen locally that actually sells detectors off the shelf is Bass Pro Shops and their prices are ridiculously high. I would never buy one from them.

They want like, 75 bucks for a BH pinpointer that you can get online for 35.00 all day long. I feel sorry for the suckers who are throwing their money away on some of this stuff. For another 15 bucks you can get an XPointer; which blows the BH pinpointer away.

They are only offered online from Walmart and, of course, Amazon. Walmart does offer free shipping, or in-store pickup. A couple weeks ago they had the Delta 4000 for $138, but quickly changed it to $205. The Gamma was $320 at that time, but dropped it to the $295 price recently. Don't know how long they will be available though. Glad I got mine at that price. I picked up one of the Delta's for the $138 price, but it was the "B" model with the push-on coil connector. I wound up taking it back since I grabbed a Gamma...

That B model Delta was probably old overstock.
Still a great little detector at 138.00 and even at 205.00. I paid 175.00 that for my used one and got a great deal IMO. It paid for itself almost immediately.

Mine does have the screw on connector though. I believe the cable is heavier as well.
I've read that the B model had far worse EMI issues; hence the cable upgrade.

Still a great machine regardless.

Cool. Just ordered it again and saved yet another $48.71 ($270.84 with tax). That's a total of $75.56 (including tax) off of their extra low price of $320 ($346.40 with tax) just a couple of weeks ago. Yay!!!

Looks like Walmart ran out of the $250 Gammas, $499 from market place seller. Amazon is still advertising them at $250, but from a third party seller...

Possibly. I would think that the price would stay low if that was the case, like it did on the 8000. Of course a 6500 would have no affect on the performance of the 6000. From what I've been reading, it looks like the 8500 improved it's relic hunting ability while slightly lessening the coin/jewelry performance. I would bet we're only talking very minute differences at best...

From what I understand, WalMart has a lowest price guarantee. If someone sells the exact same product lower than WM, they match the price.

I noticed my Land Ranger Pro being sold by a dealer for $230 for the week of Black Friday. WalMart had it for $228.57. They sold out, and now the price is $306. But they are $40 higher than Provantage. So back to the price game.
