Hello all,

Got a quick question about the T2. I understand there are two modes you can run: All Metal and discrimination Mode with each having their own settings. What does the all metal mode do, when would you use it, is this similar to the pro mode and standard mode on At Pro? Does all Metal mode run the Machine hotter? I just ordered the T2 plus and trying to get an idea before it comes in. The manual doesn't do a really good job explaining it.

Blessing.

ALL METAL MODE
The All Metal Mode is more sensitive and offers better feel than the Discrimination Mode, andis used to find all metal objects present in the ground. The searchcoil must be in motion forobjects to be detected. This is a single filter search mode similar to the “fast autotune”,“SAT”, or “P4” mode found in other detectors you might already be familiar with.SENSITIVITY This controls the electronic gain, and is adjustable from 1 to 99. In thepresence of electrical interference, high ground mineralization, or variable groundmineralization, operation will usually be too noisy (wobbly and erratic sound from the speaker)if the sensitivity is set too high. At settings above 90, the internal circuit noise of the machinewill probably be audible. The sensitivity level setting is largely a matter of personalpreference. However, if you cannot hear at least some noise, the smallest or deepest objectswill not be detected.HUM LEVEL This is the same thing that some manufacturers call audio threshold. It isadjustable from -9 to +9. For maximum ability to hear the weakest signals, adjust thisbackground hum level high enough so that it is barely audible while the detector is in use inthe field. To eliminate the weakest signals, adjust the hum level into the negative region, which will allow the machine to run silently if the Sensitivity is not set too high. The hum level changes slightly with each detent step on the settings knob. Each number onthe hum level numeric readout corresponds to five steps.MANUAL GROUND CANCELLATIONManual Ground Cancellation can only be performed while in the All Metal Mode, but theresultant setting will carry over if you change into Discrimination Mode. See the previoussection on Ground Cancellation for instructions on how to use this feature.
DISCRIMINATION MODE
The Discrimination Mode is used to eliminate from detection trash metal objects such as nails, aluminum foil, or pull-tabs. The searchcoil must be in motion for metal objects to be detected.Discrimination incurs some loss of sensitivity to small or deep objects.SENSITIVITYThis controls the electronic gain, and is adjustable from 1 to 99. Unlike the All Metal Mode, theDiscrimination Mode is designed to operate silently. If you hear noise when there is no metal presentor when the searchcoil is not in motion, reduce the Sensitivity setting until the machine goes quiet.note: there is no interaction between the sensitivity settings of the All Metal andDiscrimination Modes.DISCRIMINATION LEVELThis is adjustable from 0 to 80, and controls the range of objects to be eliminated fromdetection (silenced, discriminated out or rejected). Objects with numeric values below theselected discrimination level will not be detected. note: the numerical range that pertains toeach class of object is printed at the top of the visual display. To eliminate iron, a setting of 40is usually about right. A setting of 80 will eliminate aluminum trash and zinc pennies, butnickes wiil also be lost

Ok Cool, I think i getting it now. Seems like All Metal hits deeper targets but the machine is noisier, Hum noise..etc. Where I was confused was the All Metal factor. I understand that all Metal mode detects all metal, but wouldn't discrim mode with 0 discrimination detect all metal also.

You`ll love the T2 remember no need to crank up the sensitivity that will make it false...beep at nothing ....60 to 80 for starters.
Get a good ground grab...ground balance... easy to do... over clean ground.
Stay in Discrimination at first...till you learn a little ...all metal may confuse you at first...not a lot of difference in depth.
If your a relic hunter two tones is great... low grunt Iron...sequel for non ferrous .
Sounds are the master.... #s are the slaves.
Just have fun with it any questions can be answered here .

Has anyone tried using one of them Bluetooth transmitters for wireless headphones with T2? I believe the transmitter plugs into the stereo jack and allows pairing with wireless headphones. Just curious

I have used the Deteknix Wireless adapter and headphones...they work well together .
I don`t know if they are Bluetooth.

I use the Detectnix wireless headphones as well. They work great on the T2.
