I like mine, as you know if you read this forum. It isn't as 'deep' as a PI machine and it will beep the dickens out of bobby pins. I found a 39 merc in the back yard (at 8 in). It is cheaper than many and it has a lifetime warranty. Good Luck

It is a fresh water machine, par excellence. There are those who say it aint bad on salt sands, either - Sandman is one of them. I havent tried it on the salt yet.

GOOD POINTS
Rugged
Near Foolproof ground adjust
Good Depth
Modulated Audio
Excellent iron DISC
Sensitive
Quiet operating
You can SuperTune it

BAD POINTS
SENS adjust is internal
Crappy coil mount on the older ones - Tesoro will upgrade for free.

There is really only one place to go from the T-Shark and that is Excal Country. If that isn't in your planning then the Tiger Shark is a great way to get wet. Sure, it isnt the hottest or the greatst or the million other "-ests" it might be. It's a Tesoro and it works. Thats a great place to start. It has found me goodies each time Im out.
