1864 2 cent piece found while at work

I remodel and repair historic homes for a living.
I have found some pretty cool items at work, but
My first 2 cent piece came at a 1740s home. I had
to replace just one 2 foot long floor board and
as I pulled it up, my eyes instantly saw this worn
coin sitting in the crack.
I have permission to hunt the whole 25 acre property,
but haven't got out there yet. I hope the finds outside
are as good as the finds inside!

Way to go Ty. What a cool find. I wish you luck on the rest of the property. If I know you & Joe, we'll be seeing plenty more good finds soon.

reminds me of the time we lifted the floorboards in a house built in 1828. Found a great 1828 large cent and a mummified cat. you just never know what you will find.
Good luck with the 25 acres

VERY cool find!
Never in the ground.
Looks like it was well worn before it was dropped though.
Pretty neat!
