Today was all bobbies, she has really been on a tear since the first of May. Todays first gold was the 10k earring on the right, hour later and she is showing be the 14k "star" earring. Next and final spot first she finds the gold bead, then after retrieving a quarter she pulls up the nice 14k ring the stones are zircons but hey its still gold and still pretty. This gives her 8 pieces of gold for month of July and 15 since the first of May. No detecting next week as Bobbies folks are coming in for a visit.

OK you say that you hunt tot lots. So I have a guestion for you. How do you get close to the equitment, like swings and slides. When ever I get close say about 6 to 8 inches my machine will start going off. So I can not get close to detect around it. So what do I do....Thanks Matt

Matt bobbie uses a 7" coil and I use a 5.75 coil, When getting real close to the poles i tend to sweep backwards just listening for the diffrence in the sounds also si sometimes will turn and sweep perpindicular to poles and parallel. the smaller coils really do let you get up closer. Bobbie and I can both get to within 2 inches of the poles. Do I relish the thought of hunting a soccer field with a 5.75 coil no, would I want to use anything else but a 7" or 5.75 for a tot lot only if it is the 4" that is on my back up machine.
One other thing is that when we are around the poles especially a lot of them we shorten our sweep width considerbly
hope this helps

I hope you have a fire extinguisher in the car in case she catches fire. Please tell her not to come to Tennessee when she cleans the state out, lol... Maybe head to Florida instead

Tell her congratulations and to keep up the good work

I agree with dave`s ideas about bobbies great gold finds.
It seems your tot lots produce nice gold like mine.

All of my gold jewelry has been found near the base of those poles and i use a 6x9 coil.
Try turning your sensitivity down Matt.

Nice Gold Bobbie and HH.
