1984 Olympics

It was soaking wet but I had to get out of the house for awhile.
I got a hand full of clad an old brass thing a nice white rock and a
lens cap that must have some metal in it. The mosquitoes in
Connecticut are ferocious this year.

Hey Wolcottdigger...great day. Did you find the quartz with your metal detector? Gold is found in Quartz. Don't toss it regardless, it'll look good in the aquarium or on the book shelf.

Is that what it is I didn't know it was quarts.
I found it while digging a target but it doesn't register
on my detector. I liked the color I thought it might be
a piece of marble. I put it in my rock tumbler
to clean the dirt off of it. I do have an aquarium I wonder
if its a safe rock to put in I know you have to be careful
of the rocks you put in some can cause problems.
