Traveled to an old homesite (still occupied by relatives) and detected for about an hour.? Found a bunch of goodies, 1943 Walking Liberty Half is the best find of the day, also pulled out three rings (don't know yet if the diamond is real) and two more cheap ones.? Found an old Ruby Joam "for the teeth" bottle (eyeballed) while digging up the cap gun.?

Weather was cold, but when it warms up, I'll clean house!?

Here's my digs....HH Tim

That was a productive day, Stalk. That's a lot of pieces for an hour of digging.

Yep, VERY nice site!

I only dug one or two pieces of "junk" I'm certain this property has never seen a metal detector. ?Old house (1900 or so). ?

If I knew this was in the ground, I would have visited them long ago. ?I just hit what I considered "hot spots" around an old weeping willow tree, walkway, area beside an old picnic table and a huge ash pile area. ?Can't wait till it warms up a bit!

I'm not sure who used to live their long ago? I'm very excited about this new site, could turn out to be the best ever. I noticed LOTS of metal in the ground. If I had more time and the weather had cooperated, I'm sure I would have brought out POUNDS of goodies. Lots of stuff was right on the top of the dirt and ashes, marbles, pieces of dolls, broken china and pottery.

Other than CW sites, this will probably be the best place I have ever dug....

The gun is a Tiny Trooper Cap Pistol.

Ring 1: Copper Band
Ring 2: Aluminum
Ring 3: Steel with Glass Stone

I probably won't be heading back over their (Virginia, 3 hour drive) until early spring, but I'll definitely post my finds. Ground here in KY is starting to freeze. Sure can't wait till warm weather arrives!

Very nice stuff. be careful with those toys, some can be worth quite a bit. Ive found Roy Rogers club badges while detecting. my sister found a toy gun once that was broken sold it on Ebay for over 400 bucks :o

Tim
