Hi all,

I have been out of town (out of state actually) visiting relatives the last few days, and of course my son and I brought our detectors. It worked out great because while everyone else was out doing last minute shopping, we had a chance to extreme tot lot hunt in a new area that we've never detected before.

We got on the internet and found out where all the elementary schools were in a 20 mile radius of where we were at, and by 8 AM we were at our first site. So, 9 schools and 7 1/2 hours later (yes, it really was extreme tot lot detecting) we had called it a day!

Our total days take was.....

115 quarters
122 dimes
75 nickels
190 pennies
1 Andrew Jackson dollar coin
$45.70 total plus......

3 foreign coins, 2 arcade tokens and other assorted trinkets.......

and a couple of nice silver rings too!

Thanks for looking and hope y'all had a great Christmas!

That had to be a lot of fun! 8) Lots of keepers!! :icon_pirat: I say detecting is much more fun than shopping....but if I didn't do the shopping around here, there would be no presents to open nor food to cook. :tongue3: :D

Great that you and your son could spend the day together.

Nana :)

Deftone- Thanks for your reply!

Hey Nana, that is exactly what my wife says! (about the shopping) :laughing9:

Ricky- the pull tab king- Thank you my man...happy hunting to you too!

Dave + Bobbie- I know you two can relate to this!

Dman- Thanks!

Ground Hog- When we hunt kiddie lots it is only the sand/woodchip playground area. HH

Ivan my man, the glint of gold you see is a cheap anodized aluminum ring. ;D

Ty- Thanks for your reply!

Wyatt- Thanks my friend, it was a blast!

Just a little side note that may be helpful if two people are both detecting in a small area: My son has a Garrett and I use Tesoros, and since they have very different frequencies, there is never a problem with interference between detectors.

Hey Albert, are you kidding? He's the one that came up with this crazy idea. ;D

Although I must admit...he did take a few swing breaks. :laughing9:
