Can you make out what it says around the star on the side, below the eagle? I have my father's USAF ring from about 50 years ago and it looks nothing like yours, so, I'm figuring older than that. The brass hose nozzles are cool......those are still made today, exactly like those, and I remember them when I was a very small kid.......they last forever!

You are right Albert, Sept. 12, 1947 is when the Air Force came into operation. The stone looks like Aquamarine. Very cool, how many grams is it?

The ring is from the late 40's.
Even after the birth of the USAF it was still consider Aircorp till the late forties.
