1919 D Standing Liberty Quarter -- Dream find

I've been hunting on and off lately while things warm up here and haven't found anything much of note other than a few average silver dimes, wheaties and the indians. Today though, was a different story. I still can't believe it. I found a 1919 D standing liberty quarter about 7 inches down in a park I've pounded for over a year now. It was below a massive piece of iron wire that was probably what protected it from other hunters over the years.

Any thoughts on grade or value? I would never sell it but it's nice to know.

I love standing liberty quarters and the only other one I ever found was a no date slick one two years ago. I can definitely say that this is one of my best finds ever.

Haha, no, I actually found this. I suppose people will doubt me cause of the date but I swear I did. I thought the park was playing an april fools joke on me when I dug it out though.

Beauty for sure!!!!!!!

Thank you! Here's another photo I wasn't going to post because I got the focus wrong. I'm worried now that people will think this is an april fool's joke. Oh the cruel irony of finding an awesome coin on a day like today.

April fool or not thats a great find. I`m no expert but maybe 80 to 100 bucks. :headbang:

Another forum doubted me too so they had me take a picture of it on today's newspaper with a toothpick and dime. I don't know what else I can do to prove it's not an april fool's joke. Haha ;D

Wow! :o Thats an awesome find.

I'd think it should grade around XF and bring around $300-350. More with a little more patina to it. Congrats on a great find. :headbang: :headbang:

Nice find! Don't have to prove anything to me. Can't wait for some silver karma to come my way.
