    Found Gold!!!! I think....

Okay found this religious item.... It says 1830 but I'm thinking no way its that old but a nice piece anyway. Was 6 inches down on an old property. I'm not Catholic so is the date something that is special to this religion Any ideas on the marks on the back Thanks Brad

Interesting. I found this the other day. It's tiny. Smaller than a penny.

You are correct about the date. I remember seeing one like that on here last year. The date has some religious connotation.

You're right. The date actually represents the year the saint was elected and honored. I have many like this.

I just found one of these last week! I am pretty sure mine is aluminum or pewter or something like that.

Nice medallion...even if it's not Gold.

My experience is about 50 non Gold to 1 Gold medallion (about 10 to 1 for Silver).

When you find the Gold you'll know it...keep looking.

Here's my favorite 18K found last year .. marked 750 on the back.
