Civil War Campsite: Confederate Lined "I" Coat Button
Hey Guys, I decided to get out and go back to an area that has been very kind to me over the years. This area was host to several military encampments
from the War of 1812 up through the Civil War being the place of several Confederate encampments during the Peninsula Campaign. I decided to head over to a new area
that I had just recently received permission at. As I was walking out towards the middle, I turned my machine on to get ready to dig and as soon as I did, I got a VERY nice
silver signal sounding off in my headphones before even getting a chance to swing! I had literally dropped my coil right on top of a silver dime. I made my cuts and popped
the plug and saw that silver dime laying there and thought for sure it was going to be a Seated, but as it turned out, it was a Barber
but I'll take a nice Barber!
That started the dig out pretty good, but before the hunt was over, I would leave a happy guy! Here's the Pics:

This little silver dime was the very first signal when I turned the machine on....I thought for sure it was going to be a Seated, but it turned out to be Mr. Barber, but silver is still a good way to start a dig

Afterwards, I continued to dig and found a few nice bullets and some Eagle Buttons:
Well, when I got it home and began to clean it off...... my suspicions were CONFIRMED

I sure love the buttons myself, definitely one of my favorite things to dig.
