:hello: Hey Guys, I decided to get out and go back to an area that has been very kind to me over the years. This area was host to several military encampments

from the War of 1812 up through the Civil War being the place of several Confederate encampments during the Peninsula Campaign. I decided to head over to a new area

that I had just recently received permission at. As I was walking out towards the middle, I turned my machine on to get ready to dig and as soon as I did, I got a VERY nice

silver signal sounding off in my headphones before even getting a chance to swing! I had literally dropped my coil right on top of a silver dime. I made my cuts and popped

the plug and saw that silver dime laying there and thought for sure it was going to be a Seated, but as it turned out, it was a Barber :laughing9: but I'll take a nice Barber!

That started the dig out pretty good, but before the hunt was over, I would leave a happy guy! Here's the Pics:

This little silver dime was the very first signal when I turned the machine on....I thought for sure it was going to be a Seated, but it turned out to be Mr. Barber, but silver is still a good way to start a dig :)

Afterwards, I continued to dig and found a few nice bullets and some Eagle Buttons:

Well, when I got it home and began to clean it off...... my suspicions were CONFIRMED :headbang:

Randy, it would've been great to have you and Mike and Guy out there with me to share it with! Although its still a great rush when you dig up the finds, its much better when you have someone there to share it with. Hope you're doing good buddy.

We will have to get together later. Mike will be back in a couple weeks. I know what you mean by finding a good target and no one there to see the happy dance. We are still trying to clean up after the storm Wednesday night. Both cars were heavily damaged by the hail. Worst storm I have experienced in years. I hate tornados.

I gotta tell ya, I love those great photos! I am thinking about doing a group shot for my cleaned finds the same way (a real "grouping" rather than everything spread out). That is a Beautiful CS Infantry button there!

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been out diggin all weekend with out of town guests...Anyway, its Great to hear from you man and I appreciate it. I am partial to those group shots, like you said, they really make a great photo!
