Wife surprised me this morning when she said, you should go Metal detecting, it was rainy and my back was sore so off I went, I needed to have a good day, because the day prior I only managed 1 wheat and an old spoon. So I headed to my favorite spot, the rain was off and on. Well on with it, I found four Wheaties, thats 32 for the year, some clad, then I get a 93 vdi on the dfx, Holy Moly i thought i had big Silver, but it was a 1974 Ike dollar still a fun find, The art metal tag is dated 13May1940, I believe they used to make school desks??, I also found the religious medal/fob, two 1943 Canadian cents, a tootsie toy, hairclip, m16 round from 1953. Then i get an iffy 55 signal on the dfx, Thought it was a bottle cap and bam! a 12 diamond ring!! ( #10 ring for the year) however I do not see any markings on the inside, which Concerns me, looks real thou and its fairly heavy, I think I will get it tested if anyone could tell me what the pf-211/G thing is, I would appreciate it, well thanks for looking and even if its raining and your back is saying no, go give it a shot!

No markings means fake.

Sweet finds. That ring sure looks real. I'm surprised there's no markings on it though.

Just my opinion here...

It looks like a ring that "wraps" the main setting of the "set" which completes the wedding band. The ones that I have seen have all the markings on the "main" ring, not the "wrap around".

Still a great find!!! Get it tested and let us know what the say! Fingers crossed that its real....

The markings might have been lost when it was sized. I find a few every year like that. Sweet find.
