I went out this morning for 3 hrs with Matt092079 and found a few good finds. My first find was the small Infantry button, then found several ends off the cartridge's. Then found a different kind of bullet its pictured below by a 3 ringer for reference, also found a small caliber bullet, any help with this will be great. Decided to go down through the woods and came across a nice shed that i hit with the coil before i saw it. Also found a lava rock like thing that came up like a penny, any idea? :dontknow:
Thanks for looking.

Good finds Ryan. Especially that "I" eagle button, man that is a good save! Don't find many buttons that are still all together in that field.

I was looking at a site with different CW bullets to try to identify the bullets in the 4th image and they look like they are a .44 colt(left) and a Burnside(right). But i am no expert, if any body could clear this up that would be great. thank you.

If your bullet has a small hole in the base it is a Bartholow. If it has a solid base it may be a .44 Sage. Both were used in Colt Revolvers.

From Left to Right it would appear that you have a bartholow on the far left, a burnside in the middle with part of the casing still around it, and on the right I dont believe that is a three ringer... It looks like it might be a spencer carbine bullet.

Yeah they are all spencers in this area we are digging, aside from the colts and burnsides. I've only found one 3 ringer on this farm and a buddy we work with found one and that's it.

Thank you for the post, americancivilwarrelics, the bullet is a flat base bullet so i guess it's a .44 Sage thanks.
