Wounded duck button.
Found this funny looking button today in my yard. I think its civilian of course, but just looks like a wounded duck to me,lol. I dug this really close to the foundation of the house at about 6 inches down. This is the first button to come out of the yard so I was kinda tickled. Happy hunting

Yeah James I know its old but just dont want to get to excited over these damn buttons anymore. I looked up something that said if it had a rusted back it was probably civilian. It came from the side of my house so I know it has been there for many years. The only thing is the back is rusted and i cant get a back mark.

How do you find Gold coins? Reply: 'By finding lots of Silver ones..'
A real man thinks about detecting every 6 seconds.

I've seen one of those before. My husband found one in our yard, but it didn't have the back - Union Navy Button. Here's the link to his post - http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/to...vy-button.html Very nice button! Congratulations
