What a story,i know that feeling,to have something sharp in your stomach.. I was 14 and had made a homemade blowpipe and yoused a sewnedle as arrow, and when i thretet my brother to shoot him in the leg i gasped for air,i had the pipe to close and the thing went down my trought,i tryed to cought it up but nothing hapend it was stuck, then i swallowed it. I told my mom what just happend, and as you reaction: What?!.
The hold time was 2-3 hours then it was my turn.. And as the case here,it has passed so long they could not du anything, just wait it out..
I asked the doctor if it is a risk,if the needle could get stuck the natural way? And the doctor and i qoute: Yes, it is a risk, and if you get ill or feel extreme pain you must call an ambulanse. Have a nice day.. as a 14 you can emagine the horror.
Sorry for hijackin your thred, but i would tell you that this can happen when they get older too. You did the right thing to check with the detektor,i have yoused my pinpointer on my son (false alarm)
Maby not a bannner, but heck of a story, and im glad to hear everything went ok!
Best of luck!
When you just pulling up pulltabs or junk, you know your gonna hit something else soon!
