According to my book, I have just found a penny worth $50.000.00!!!

I am SHOCKED, SHAKING and in DISBELIEF!!!

I did the best I can to take a pic to show you guys, and if you look, you will see the DOT!
Posting a few pics of it and what the book shows.

I know this will have to be "authenticated" as there have only been 4 confirmed but, I'm crossing my fingers and praying that it is indeed an original!

Here's a closer view enlarged by PBK ~ thanks PBK! ;)

Wow! :o I hope for your sake that the coin is genuine. It's in great dug condition and shouldn't detract from its value since it is such a rare coin. AWESOME!

Re: OMG... Think I've Found a 1936 Dot Penny...

Wezzie: Congrats! Don't wanna get your hopes up too high, but $50K may be a very conservative figure! It does pass one test, the Dot is between the 9 & the 3! Looks good to me! I've dug many Can. .1 when I lived in Detroit, & yours looks right! Good Luck!

Joe

Heritage Coin Auctions in NY sold a Near Pristine Example for $230K. Yours isn't close to that tho!

History: King Geo. V died 1/20/36. The Mint needed to retool, but Coins were needed. They decided to Mint Coins in 1937, but dated 1936. They added the dot to differentiate between the two.

Wezzie: PLEASE DON'T TRY TO CLEAN IT!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with DM. If only 4 are known to exist, thats worth more than 50,000 to a collector with deep pockets. good luck

Thanks Bunches Everyone! I am thrilled and at the same time, very nervous not only to find the outcome but to whom I should send it to.
No worries, I will let you all know once I know for sure!
