I figured I go back out and try my luck, I found a cufflink, a small piece of jewelry and a weighty maltese cross with a wild cat of some sort in the middle. It is stamped 925 and looks like it was plated or painted with gold at one time. Bearing that this isn't some kind of notable relic, this will probably be scrap.
