1851 Officer's Sword Belt Plate

After years and many hunts of Civil War sites with various hunt groups, I finally found a belt plate !!! And this was found a few days ago in a 1890's house lawn in a northern Chicago suburb of all places! From viewing 100's of 1851 officer sword belt plate pictures online, I still cannot identify the variation. Can anyone help me put the proper tag on this piece? Thanks for any and all info !!

Hey Pat is the background stippled or just smooth brass. Because if it is stippled it is an Officers belt plate and would have been guilded, I own a copy of North South Trader and they did a story on the 1850 Officers Belt plates, and your was a good match, if it has a stippled background.

Great find! Used to be that a sword belt plate would draw a lot of replies on this forum. I hope it still turns out to be that way. They are hard to find!

Congrats,

Buckles
