Had a great day today with TNT2000 and MarkGPa and myself back at the defunct amusement park. This place has been pounded by many detectors over the last 20+ years. The finds are getting harder to come by, but somehow we usualy come out with a few coins or relics. I was really happy to see the condition of this 1917 variety 2 standing liberty quarter, the 1889 IH was not bad either and a 1916 wheaty added to the fun. The little brass padlock seems like it would still work if I found the key to go with it. It also has the Pennsylvania Emblem on both sides.
Thanks for looking.
Ken

Nice going! The warded brass padlock was made by the E. T. Fraim Lock Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania (hence the state's familiar keystone symbol) and is probably a little over 100 years old. The most recent edition (1996) of Arnall's book, The Padlock Collector, tags it at $15.

Beautiful Stander. Congrats. Love them Standers. You don't often find 'em in that nice a shape.

Those sure are some awsome finds, the silver is nice and I like the little brass lock only because it is different than most locks that you see today.

That lock is quite the find! Are you going to clean it further, or leave the patina?

The coins are excellent too!
