Hammered cleaned

These are pictures of this weeks hammered coins after cleaning. The large broken one is not English (will post a picture , on "what is this"). The top coin is a penny of Edward I, London Mint. The other is a short cross penny, a little worn so no full id yet.

Looking good! Funny, the english coins seem to be better silver than the foreign one. Can you make out some of the letters on it?

English hammered from that period, set the standard for their silver content. They were a currency that was trusted throughout Europe. Can't really make too much sense of the legend Westfront.

The shield and cross on the foreign coin look Portuguese to me.
