Silver and "Gold"

Greetings-
New guy here. Lurking for awhile, bought my wife a Prism V and myself a Surfmaster PI and XLT. Never really found much worthy of posting, unitl this weekend :)
We hunted a fairground (2 hours) after a 3 day carnival.
There were so many targets, we decided to concentrate only on those ringing up as a quarter and showing 1.5 inches or shallower...our take was pretty good...we think this site will produce for us for quite some time

13 Susan B Anthony $1
19 Sakajawea $1 (our "Gold")
79 Dimes (1- 1960 silver Eisenhower)
64 quarters arranged in rows by decade 60's through 2000's (no silver)
7 Nickles
90 pennies
1 Chucky Cheese token
and
1 Fun Factory token
$57.15 ;D

Once the quarters stop, maybe then we'll start digging the other targets!

Happy hunting folks...we sure are

Eagles

Great finds. That location is well worth another hit or two. All the coins do add up eventually. Keep it up. HH

Re: Silver and "Gold"

Weird that you found so many dollar coins. Carnivals must use them in some game?

Does the fact that you found so few nickels indicate that you have your disc turned up too high?

Nice finds!

Great finds and welcome aboard.

I have to agree with alwayslookin: 2persons @ 2hours each divided by 57.15 = 14.28 per hour!
That is more than I make per hour at my job!

Your self control must be extream. I would still be out there swinging! How did you manage to pull away from that place?

Incredible, Eagles,
I would hit that location over and over. You'll be surprised at what comes out of the ground.
Congratulations!

You are right of course...please try and remember my rookie status...
This is a traveling carnival in Hawaii-
I went back this morning for 30 minutes and found $17.92...again digging mostly signals that came up as a quarter and nothing deeper than 1.5 in. The "dirt" here is hard pack clay.
I did find an oddity this morning...
smaller than a dime,
says "new penny" across the top
has a corwn with a cross
on the bottom is the fraction 1/2

Attached is a photo next to the only silver dime I have found ;)
I'll also post in the "What is it forum"

Thanks.
