Sure is a beauty. I think the Walker is the prettiest design of all the 1/2's. WTG. Also see that you found a silver ring-batting 1000. Great finds!

Them are some Great finds!
Is it a half, or a quarter?...
I know a few others have said it's a half, can you tell by looking at the pic?
Am I missing something, or are they just comparing it to the size to the ring?

Leon,

I think you may be confusing the Walking Liberty Half with the Standing Liberty Qtr.? Here is a pic of the Standing Liberty Qtr.

Yeah you can tell by the pic once you see both.

Walking Halfs were Minted from 1916-1947. They have .36169 of an ounce of pure silver x $7.30 (todays price)=$2.64. Mint =Philly (31,502,000) Denver (9,966,500) San Fran (10,0156,000) The mint mark would be left of the H on the reverse.

Many coin enthusiasts regard the walking liberty as the most beautiful US coin ever minted.

I prefer the Peace Dollar.
