UPDATED PICS

I went to a place I call zip city. It's a modern park, never expect too much and usually that's
what I get. It's a place where one can expect clad and maybe hope for a bit of bling. The hits are just regular
enough to be able to stay interested but there's not much trash. So, it's usually a nice peaceful walk.

As you can see from the bulk of the finds:

( a "no value" token)

This is why I call the place "zip city" :) .

You KNOW what my title line might have been if this had
been the best find today. ;) LOL

BUT.....

The star of the day AND of my lifetime of hunting!

I'm walking along and I get one of "THOSE" hits. You know.
89-91 in ALL directions? Plain as day? Only a couple inches down?

Some do a victory dance when they happen upon a lifetime find but I tell
you I don't do that sort of stuff. BUT....in this case....I did do my personal
version of a victory dance. Me and my ATP go into this waltz like dance! I
spin it around the hole and just listen to that sweeeeet 89-91,over and over and over! LOL

Finally I get down to business and I gave the ATP a "dip" to beat all "dips" and then dug.

Here's what I saw:

I've always worked with a theory.
That every place was something else before it became what it is today.
This just continues to prove my theory.

My oldest silver ever!

Before anyone attempts to rain on my parade, I did some preliminary checking. The weight and size are correct. ;)
But, even if this would prove to be something other than I think it is, it still counts. After all it is my "book" after all. LOL

Thanks for taking the time to share in my happiness!

Man I've been gone to long I missed this one WOW what an incredible find my friend ..Banner find indeed

Oh yeah! This was a banner find from the get go. Whether I posted it or not!

dag on Whatifind,I missed this one too!.That is one find I have been dreaming about.Too tell you the truth the way you pull coins it doesn't surprise me.I am way late too,but congratulations man!

It's one of my blessings, i do seem to have a knack for hearing coins.

Outstanding find Whadi. I would have voted banner also, but by the time I saw your post, you already had it.

Yeah, and ya know, it kind of restored a bit of my faith in this site, to see something get up there on nothing but it's own merits.

Tell us again what those splotchy areas are. Oh yeah. Environmental damage. Caused by a reaction to something IN THE GROUND. No wonder it didn't look right to some people. They were not used to seeing that.

I'm being pressured by everyone I show it to, to have it professionally cleaned/slabbed. I may just do it if for nothing else to halt decay. One friend is telling me that because of the way the ribbon ends in the center of the "M" means this one is really special. I just don't see the connection but I might get it cleaned anyway.

Just now seeing this post. That is an incredible find.
What would I do if I ever recovered a coin like that? ?
Well after all these years,, I would probably look into
starting a TNet treasure hunters Pension Plan. Yep,
I would retire as one really happy old fart.
Congrats, Congrats, Congrats

I know what you're saying but my "expert" and I are pretty certain this is not "that" coin.

In any case folks, I REALLY do appreciate you guys bringing this one back to the front for me to live all over again.
I'm closer to the finish line then the start and this one truly looks like it's in the running for that "find of a lifetime".

Thanks to everyone for all the comments and the "likes".
