George - at first I thought it was silver based on the pic you text'd to me, but based on its size (about 30mm??) and look in the pics you posted, I'm sticking with it being 19th century British copper - maybe a mid-1800s penny like the example below.

The coin with the notches looks just like the token in the movie Goonies d7fbefab-32e8-40ec-8de7-f1dc5998a63b.jpg

I think its the first step in finding pirate gold!

Well done Vino. The silver Wannamaker pin is killer! You have found some nice stuff this week. well done.

That coin does look just like a spark plug gapper!

Best of luck to you!

The "gapper" or maybe just a defaced coin is a cool find! The Wannamaker item is great. Is it an employee badge from their store identifying employee #74?

Here ya go:

Addendum: at first glance it looked like old Victoria but I think Bill has the right version of the coin.

Great finds Vino. I was thinking a Wanamaker employee badge also but since he employed 100's of people it seems like it is something more specific and special maybe a certain group of employees like usher elevator operator etc. He was such a retail innovator
