I hope I entertained a few of you late on Saturday morning with my epic blow-out. Had an interesting week at work & too much to drink Friday, so sorry about that. My point is still valid & hopefully we should hear something soon from the Tnet owners on the 48hr rule. As it happened I was able to gather all my ID's & Cru'dad just dropped off all the Roman Coins (whilst on his way elsewhere), so for this occasion I can keep it neat.
This was our last day on this 22 acre field & we have covered about 65% of it before the Spring Barley got too long. 5 hours gridding produced one of our best May days on record:laughing7:;

GW Cuff-link:thumbsup:
Late 18th- Early 19th C Herefordshire Militia Button
Tudor Book Clasp
Coin Weight for a Gold Angel with St Micheal Spearing the Dragon (can't date it because the reverse is worn) Circa 1500-1600s
Gilt Leather Mount
Jetton
Worn 17th C Token
19th C Market Token
4 Roman Coins
3 Hammered
Celtic Copper-Core to a Silver Unit (Can't get a full ID)
Another SCEAT, same type as last hunt! - Never had this type, now 2, so this one we can give to the Land-owner. It will be the first sceat we have offered up.UPDATE, it was actually a Series E G2, so I now have 2 of the 4 varieties.

Very cool Leather Mount - ''JOHN HASTINGS 1759'' (Never seen one like it)

So another really great hunt!

Some great stuff... and like the GW button. ;) Why not huh. :)

I didn't see any of the posts, but don't really care... not life and death... and I think it's ridiculous you can't edit a post anytime you want. That's just plain stupid. And if someone is being a problem always editing, then deal with that, don't change it for everyone else.

Another sick hunt man! Is that GW link tombac? It looks shiny in that picture. The John Hastings piece is really cool as are all those hammereds. Another killer day... well done.

Agreed 100%. I tried to fix a typo in my last post that I didn't notice until a couple days later and the edit button was gone :dontknow:

Glad you are still hanging in here, and still killing it. Wonder if you can get an attribution on Hastings?

Nope silver plated cuff-link. (I'm only joking about the urban myth).

I was going to give it to a local Historical Society to research, although it may not be local, as it's not far off a well travelled main road.

Sounds like a pretty common name but with a date on the piece it may be researchable name.
