Hello, I'm a 12 year old boy from Tn. My favorite hobby is metal detecting and saving history. I've been Metal Detecting for quite some time now and I Metal detect on my grandparents property that in the heart of the battle of Nashville. I was Metal Detecting in the woods today and found a bunch of mid 1800s era bottles and this unknown item. It says the name of "Spencer" any of you know what it is? Also Right next to that 'spencer' suspender buckle, I started to heard a bunch of good metal signals. These are some of the bottles I found yesterday. View attachment 1499237 View attachment 1499238 View attachment 1499239

I like the little bottle there. Do you see and purple glass shards around where you found this bottle? Thats a good indication that you're on a site going back 100 years or more. Anyway, it looks like you found an early 20th century trash dump. Always a good place to look around.

Thanks for identifying them, by the way would you happen to know what that white glass top would've came off of?

Finding a set of suspender ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1506823866.987231.jpg buckles is really great...Usually if it is a set the pants are nearby and you can find buttons. if there is nails everywhere you might be at a site that burned, it is worth picking out the nails and other iron to find the goods. Good luck young man, saving history and learning from it is what it's all about. Here are some sets of suspenders I have found in a 1913 burned logging camp...these are from the same time period as yours. 1900-1920's

Most of these white glass pieces we dig are called milk glass and the majority of what I find is from cosmetic jars such as cold cream. It would seem a woman left these glass pieces behind, as it looks like you found her perfume as well. Nice job.
