Tom, you're like a Blue Tick Hound on the scent of anything SILVER within 100 mile radius of you! You are definitely in the "zone" my friend. I know you are going to have a wonderful season in 2018. Keep after it mate! BTW, soldiers do sustain casualties when we are battling for treasure. Sorry about the injured toy. Darn fine looking toys and indeed that little tike was disappointed when they went AWOL! Adios buddy.

Great finds Tom. I can't imagine how you do that on freezing weather. I remember that when i was trying to hide away from the wind i found a gold ring. So it works
But when I was searching on the snow I couldnt resist more than one hour.

Those are some nice finds Tom. When I started in this hobby, Super Glue was my best friend. I'd give it a shot. Those would make some nice display pieces.

Thanks K1. I got really lucky at the end of the year and found a couple of silver coin producing sites. I usually average around 50 silvers per years, I promise I will do my best to find as many as I can.

I hope that you have a very successful 2018.

Wow, Tom you are on a toy factory. You have a Lincoln Log Indian, a Manoil marching officer, and what's left of a Barclay soldier (probably standing firing a rifle.) I bet there are more there! Congrats, Sub

Thanks for the IDs Sub. Sorry about the carnage. I was all torn up about it yesterday, but it's OK today. This site has yielded 5 partial lead toy soldiers, so far. TNetter, Mangum got one, he thinks it is RE Lee on horseback. I will continue to dig all targets, in the hopes that more show up.

    Best you for 2018 sir.

Bad day for him, good day for you. I love those War Nic's, I'm a "Band of brothers" kind of guy. WWII might not be old in some people's perspective, but that war was a major turning point in the history of the world in my eyes. Evil lost and lost big in that one. Great post Tom, I really enjoy reading your comedy. I always like a guy with a good sense of humor.
