New colonial farm field site was good but not great

First hunt on 110 acres surrounding a circa 1770 home. Dont have permission for the yard around house though. That must be where all the early stuff is cuz the fields didnt produce much yet Did manage a SLQ and LC near the house and some buttons, lead, and colonial buckle frag as I wandered the field in search of a hot spot

Imo those are great finds, I never found a SLQ. I have no problem finding barbers tho.

If those aren't great finds then you will really be let down one of these days! I would be pumped if I came home with those finds!

We clearly define "great" differently! That's a lot of sweet history in your hand!

My heart is bleeding for you east-coaster. He goes out, and *only* finds *one* LC. So the site "didn't produce much" and "wasn't that good". Oh how horrible it must to go out detecting and *only* find one LC. Eh ?

Agreed. It was a great day for most. You cant find early silver every hunt. Lol Ive been lucky to find some great sites the past couple years. Its not going to be easy to keep it up so I need to lower my expectations

Nice finds. I really like finding a round ball with the sprue still present. Sometimes itís good to take yourself down a few pegs and enjoy all the finds. Iíve done that several times myself and now enjoy my hunts more than ever.
