This morning I hit the site that I thought was going to really produce some nice silver coins, but apparently someone else got to it before I did. I found one wheat penny and maybe a couple of clad coins. All the rest were trash targets. So I loaded up and started looking for another site to detect.

After riding around for awhile I found a trashy looking abandon home. It didn't look promising, but I said what the heck and gave it a shot. I didn't set the woods on fire but I did manage to unearth a couple Mercury dimes and 1 wheat penny. That's a whole lot better than getting skunked.

Thankfully, it's going to rain tonight and tomorrow so I can get some needed rest. I'm totally wore out from having so much fun.

That is so true tabman, I too have gone to sites where I had "visions" of silver coins dancing thru my head, and NOTHING. And then there were times when I hit a couple of parking strips out of boredom, and BOOM!, a silver merc or two.

Thanks! When you hit dry hole you have to move to better ground.

You just never know until you swing your coil over a site.
