Think the button is a mid 19th century flower button. They were very popular back then. They are also fairly hard to find these days.

Thanks thought it was a civil war button.. I guess title of video is wrong...it was a deep button 8 inchs.

I hear you on the button. I pulled a back to an eagle button back only in very bad ground today at about 6-7 inches, and the thing screamed at me through the headphones. I was expecting a piece of aluminum.
