Explored another field. The team got it all today (except Saxon).

5 Scrappies
2 Hammered silver, 1 broken the other Elizabeth I cica 1580s Penny
Coin/bullion weight of Charles I 1620s
X3 17th century tokens, one dated 1663.

RARE FINDS:
Early marked Crotal Bell - Wells foundry
Back of a Roman Box Seal - used to seal important boxes that were transported by mail. Stopped tampering in transit.
Celtic (Iron Age) cica 1 century BC Red enamelled tipped pin for? Never seen this type before.

The field was full of old lead which is always a good sign so this field is worth searching properly in the future.

Nice work, Crusader! Those hammered silvers are always lovely finds. And that pin is really cool! I'm anxious to hear anything you find out about it. Great stuff.

Cheers,

More fantastic treasures, plus you've made sports history. I think that pin is the very first golf tee..

I made the same joke to my dad, it would have been perfect for that, size & everything. :D

I have send a picture to an expert who is a puzzelled as me. Agrees it looks Celtic though.

Fantastic finds from the UK!!! I love the stuff you find. The Roman is so cool and so old. The small piece of buckle would have been a killa to find complete. Congrats on a great haul ;D
