Hello
Another lot from this past week's hunt, all finds on post. Majority have been from the local parade field, its still giving up the goods. Add another WWII German dog tag and the other tag is an equipment issue tag. I met a local German who has helped me identify some items.
NOTABLES:
German ID Tag
7th Panzer Regiment, equipment issue tag
14K men's wedding band
Numerous German Uniform buttons (pebbled and cloth covered)
Never seen before E-4/ Specialist rank (US Army)
Numerous wheat pennies
1952 Nickle
Unknown lead items, with letters and markings.

All finds with White's XLT, stock Coin & Jewelry program with AC turned up to 67...really helps with deeper targets.

The goods, finding more ammo, 45cal, 30 carbine and clad

German ID tag, some Panzer unit, tag on right used during issue of equipment (7th Panzer Regt), and US hat emblems

Men's 14k ring, tag and E-4 rank (new seen before)
10 Oct 07 part 3.jpg

German uniform buttons, German coins and old US coins, UNKNOWN item (bottom right) lead I can make out letters, seems really old.

Middle shows a musket ball and muzzle loader bullet.

Fantastic finds!
What was the distance from where you found the German stuff compared to the American stuff?

JOHNW440: the field has US and German stuff all in the same area, German stuff being a little deeper.
Thanks all

The Germans must have occupied the area first then the Americans occupied it at a later time?
Just wondering if you have ever found items from both sides from a battle say 300 meters apart from each other?
