Wow! Did you find them in your yard?

I know some guys who have been searching a lot of years for one of those Virginia buttons.

Very nice find!

You Found BOTH of these in 10 minutes after blowing the "dust" off of your detector? Did you do any research on a site or did you blindly find this "stellar" spot? I tell you what, finding a Virginia Button these days in that condition is a RARE thing. That was a lightening quick recovery.

Now that is what I call a VERY sweet and productive 10 minute hunt!!!! Congrats!!! Love that button and it's in great shape as well. With gorgeous finds like that nearby I would never let dust accumulate on my detector!!! ;D

I know to above post. It usually takes at least 30 minutes at least....to dig a cannonball out....That was a quick one there. What part of Virginia are you from?

Working that out in terms of value, that's got to be about $50 a minute, eh? Can't beat that...

I was researching the area where i was detecting and it appears to have been a depot there along with several camps. There is a railroad that runs through the property which is located next to one of the battlefields.I will be spending the next 4 days there and will post my finds when i get back.Hopefully more Va buttons there.....

I don't know much about CW relics, but that button looks GREAT. What kind of soil conditions? Maybe I will "dust off" my Pro XL this Sunday and find some Colonial relics. :D
