coins and stuff....:)... Button Hat Pin???? WHAT IS IT?

Hey all

I got out last week and pulled some nice stuff from one of our wooded sites that is now clearing up pretty good.

This is a field pic of the finds, I did not take a pic of the coins when I cleaned them sorry..
1 was an 1867 Indian and an 1911 "V". I thought the suspender buckle was cool, and I got a couple of buttons.


the suspender buckle, I think it is 1860-70s


This is from a 2 hour hunt today, I decided to go into the area's that I call unattainable. (to thick to move or swing)...well I was going in, regardless of the battle scars. the one spot was in an area that was very productive. after crawling on my hands and knees and a few sticks in the face etc. I soon was rewarded. so yes it was worth it.


4 coins , 1902, 1907, 1891 Indian and a 1957 Rossie...? not sure how that got there..he he..

The nicest Infantry button I have gotten on this site except the eye is gone...


This last photo looks like a button of some sort, but also like a hat pin, If anyone has any info on this I welcome the comments.

Without question one of the finest assortments of finds I've seen in a long time... (I miss a lot too... but man this stuff is awesome).

The eagle and federal shield motif was common on everything during the late 1700s through the mid 1800s. It looks like a hair or hat pin, which I guess you have already fugured out.

Man, what a great handfull of stuff...
