New site, great day, some good food, good Friends, and some good finds, what else can a detectorist ask for....
I spent Saturday with Kenpa and his wife at new site I had researched that was thought to be a fort back in 1700's. and then today I met up with Kenpa, Johnnymc, and MarkGpa for a lot of fun. and my wife even made us a great hot lunch to add to a great day.

Anyway the site was very thick with briers but we were able to push our way in and find some stuff,

I got a large copper that is pretty worn and I have no way to ID it so any help would be great.
Next I pulled an 1787 1/2 reale kinda beat up but nice detail,
and a 1750 King George that has some nice detail and full readable date. (my oldest coin)

I also got some buckles a few musket balls and some other relics.

Anyone know what the last pic is, it looked like it might have been to a buckle (notice the iron rust spot)

Here's a picture of a jew harp I found this year. It's in the pic with a few other relics. Obviously, its the relic on the left. ;D

Great finds! As for the Jews Harp, I remember the high school days when one of my buddies would do it in the middle of class ;D ;D. I wonder if he still has it.

You all were at one great site to hunt by all the varied old finds. Congrats on the two + old coins and just how many scratches do you have on each leg? :)

For days that I know I am going into a green briar area, I wear a pair of hunting pants that are extra thick in the front leg and thigh areas, they don't stop the direct hits but they sure are better than blue jeans!
