MIZPAH copper coin / token

Followed an old road bed today that dates from early 1700's to late 1800's. This stuff could be modern but I simply can not I.D it.
the coin seems to be very thin copper or brass with MIZPA stamped on the top, and the Image is of an old man with a beard with some sort of helmet on.

Next is some sort of clip has stamp pat.apr.28.85 on back.

Yes I just kind of zig-zagged all over following the road, I also dug an old hoe. There were a lot of iron signals which I did not dig. The road is all filled in with trees.

The Mizpah thing is correct...the second item I can almost surely say was the plate that holds a notepad onto one of those clip boards...looks like those long prongs held the paper...the small tabs with the holes on the back held the spring. I may be wrong, but it looks like one of those gizmos....

Thanks for the info on MIZPA. Have you seen any coin or token like mine anywhere? it seems really old.
sorry about your hoe, mine was crusty anyway so I threw it out.

I have not seen any other coins like that, although if you do a google search you will see plenty of familiar ones which can be purhcased in any greeting card store. Yours looks old, however by the block lettering I would guess it is 20th century, but it is just a guess.

I also see lettering on the reverse side, but I am unable to make it out. It would be helpful to know what it says on the reverse.

It is stamped right through the coin / token. The coin is very thin

Highly unlikely but in either Hawthorne or Tonopah, Nev. there is a casino named, "The Mizpah".

I've heard of some MIZPAH casino tokens being highly sought after but this is not one of them. This was found near a revolutionary battle sight in the woods following an old road bed. Thanks for trying.
