Digging those negative numbers again. :D Sometimes it pays off. Why can't I ever find anything made of iron/steel that looks that good. All my crape is more crust that iron. Sort of a punishment for digging it for me.

COOL find Gypsy. That has to be a first here on TN. Congrats to you.
At first I thought the post read "THONGS". Darn it. >:( :'(
If you still have ice, will my son and I be catching frozen fish on our June trip up there? :icon_scratch: ;D

You haven't enjoyed the thrill of digging 46 pulltabs, 18 crushed beer cans, and 74 bottle tops?? You haven't lived. ;D

What a COOL find !! 8) :headbang:

Of all the stories and pictures of how they harvested ice back in the day you'd think more tongs would be found near water :icon_scratch:

Gypsy, congrats on you & Mariah FINALLY getting out to hunt. . . even if it's only along the shore.
I'd love to find a part of WI like that. . . anytime!. . . I'm bringing my detector next time I'm up in that
neck of the woods fishing with my brother & sons :)

Take care & all the best with the move!
