I think a friend of mine turned me on to a virgin site. We found only few clad coins. The site is an old community swimming pool and picnic area. Almost all of the coins are 6 to 9 inches deep and have wobbly/iffy signals.

The pile of clad and the gold ring came from a park. My friend found 5 silver dimes, 4 war nicks, 15 wheats, 2 silver jewlery items and one big junk ring.

Very nice finds! I was wondering about that blank round, tho, is it a pistol round, how is it marked?

Yes here’s a photo SUPER X, strange to me too, 22 HMR blank?
Thanks.

Wonder if that blank round went to a starter's pistol? Only reason I can think of for a .22 blank.

Like a Flintstones chewable multivitamin, you got a great day's supply of vitamins and minerals. Sun, and silver. Minus zinc, of course.

Great finds! The cartridge looks to me like a 22 Winchester Magnum blank or bird shot round, hope there's more there for you, Scott

Thanks again everybody. I opened the round last night and it had rat/snake shot inside. Now I remember that back then they were made like that instead of the clean plastic head they have today.
