Hi all, Been spending a few hours each week for a while, over at the chiness gold mine site. Now spring is here the ground is drying out quick and soon the clay will set like concrete.I often find broken 49 er picks and mining tools . All broken, sort gives you an idea just how hard the ground gets when dry. Only found a few interesting relics and couple of silver coins.1922 shilling [AU] and a burnt half crown :'( :'( :'( heres a few pics of finds and hoping for better next time.

tinpan,
Where you located? Have been waiting until weather cools down (rattlesnakes hibernate) to start detecting a old chinese site. Great digs...   . Have you found any info. on the bottle yet or value.

Thanks for the reply,Will take the bottle to the local chinese historian for i.d Lol on the snakes, seems they are on the move. Here only got 5 different types of deadly snakes to worry about.Best left well alone.

tinpan Location Southern Australia 30 miles east of where the Hand Of faith Nugget was found

Some nice relics, enough to keep you interested when the ground gets tough. Is that a button or a lead seal in the last pic? It amazes me that you never score a small nugget, are you holding out on us, LOL? Good luck on the nugget and HH, Mike
