I dug this good for 5 cents token in a yard in my hometown.Did research and found out it was saloon hear at turn of the century. uploadfromtaptalk1445657343193.png uploadfromtaptalk1445657356896.png

I actually sold this token to guy.I found out when owner died and where he was buried in our cemetery

I hope you sold it for a LOT. Saloon tokens are one the most valuable types of merchant you can find. If it was one nobody knows about, it is easily worth $500 or more to a collector.

I traded it for some seated dimes and 2 really nice 2 centers.Definitely not $500 in coins though....oh well

Like I said before, if it was an unknown and a saloon, it COULD easily be very valuable. I have sold multiple unknowns for many hundreds of dollars. You just have to know who the main collectors in your state are

Well done! Me and my daddy went detecting. He found a ¢25 barber coin in our hometown. Pretty cool!
