Hey Tom...
I meant to say "thank you" VERY much for that wealth of info!!! I typed up each of those (MO & FL) in graphed Word documents.

I think I understand most of the categories... Name of Treasure, City, County, State, Amount, What (Coins, Ingots, and Misc.)

What I don't understand though is the What section? I notice that most will have 10, 25, 50, or 75
What does this mean?

Also, I've downloaded the US Treasure zip file from your website... but how do you open it? I'm using Windows XP and have a feeling this is a much older program, for maybe Windows 3.1 or Windows 95?? Please let me know though... I don't see an install file for the program either.

Thanks in advance for all your help bro!!

Bran,

Glad you could use my database. It is old, it is a DOS program. Double click pcf.exe, it is the executable for the software.
The 10 that you see is a relative reliability. Pay no mind to it. I know that treasure has been found at a Oklahoma site, and it's reliability was 10. Hope you find something good. If you do, email me a pic ok?

Wow Tom, you weren't kidding... I had a feeling it was in DOS! Flashback from our old Windows 3.1 back in '94!! lol
Now that I've got it to work though, I have another question... did you hand-type all of those reports up yourself???
Because as far as I can tell, I can only get it to show one entry at a time... not in a list like you've posted on here.
If you did do all that typing, thank you!!

Thanks for answering my other question as well about the What section. I thought maybe it was a ranking system for the program. I didn't think much of it; guess I'll continue as I did.

You know if I ever find something important, I'll be sending out e-mails of my pictures to you and some of my other close friends off of T-Net. That will probably be the extent of who I tell, but you'll be sure to find out bro!! ;)

Bran <><

P.S. If you want either my MO or FL that I typed up in Word format in a graph layout, just let me know. I find it a little easier... plus you can add more info to the records fairly easy.

Bran,

Yep...DOS is dating us isn't it ;)
Here is my "trade" secret...you can open the ".dat" files with Excel ;D
Are you kidding? There is no way that I have the time to type all that out.
It got to be very time consuming just posting the individual areas, so that is why I opted to post them on my webpage.

Good call. Wouldn't have even though of opening it with Excel. lol

I did type all of Florida and Missouri to Word... but that's just 'cause I tend to type very quickly.

I saw that you have a Bible program linked off of your website. I also noticed that for the free version, it seems to be very limited. I'm not sure if you're already aware of this program or not, but there's another Bible program which is *completely* free... it's called E-Sword. The author of the program considers it as his ministry. I've been using it since way back in high school and throughout every year of Bible College and it's only gotten better and more things added to it over the years! The only downside is that you must download each individual file for any books or translations you would like to add to the Bible software. I just keep a file with all of them in it and go and download the new files uploaded or updated on the website every 6 months or so.

The website is http://www.e-sword.net

If you've already heard of it, maybe someone else will find it of interest. :)

Thanks again!

Bran,

I have tried most of the free Bible software on the net, and spent several hundred dollars, buying Bible software.

So far, the best Bible software that I have tried or purchased is Sword Searcher!
Every few months Brandon comes out with a new and better version. I always buy it ;D
The purchased version has the built-in Strongs, and much much more. It has features that I don't even use, but I am happy with this software, and I don't mind paying for it because it does exactly what I want.

Even at $49.95, it is a bargain. I have paid as much as $250.00 for software (Nelson's) and Sword Searcher does more in my opinion than it does.

Timberwolf, thank you so very much. Quite generous of you to post all these leads for us. I make you this solemn promise: if I ever find any of these treasures, I'll split it with you because without your help I wouldn't be looking in the right place.

Mary,

Thank you for the generous offer, but splitting your treasure with me would just not be right.
You are doing all of the work.
If my leads help you find treasure, I would not expect a split. I would like pictures though, and if you wanted to give me a single coin, I would accept it ;D

I am sorry that there were not any more leads for that county :(

I hope you find what you are looking for Treasure Tales,

Tom
